About Me.
My story starts in Calgary 1995. I was 15 and just finished grade 10. My dad offered me summer work with him helping with electrical work at the new and amazing Eau Claire Market. Granted, all I did was clean up, get material for the other electricians and was occasionally allowed to install receptacles and switches, which of course was my favorite part and got me hooked on electrical. I liked working with my hands and always enjoyed tinkering as a kid. So, grade 11 came around and I wasted no time getting involved in the work experience program through Crescent Heights High School and immediately found work with Western Electric helping with the new second Bankers Hall Tower and installing new lighting upgrades for all the Totem Building supply stores. After high school, I moved back to Regina Sask and officially started my apprenticeship, finishing school in 2002. After struggling to find work in Regina, I moved back to Calgary for work in 2005. By 2006 I became a Foreman for the first time running the new Maxbell Arena expansion and other various rinks throughout the city and finished off my time in Fort McMurry doing a Bank. Soon work was dwindling and with the recession starting in 2008, work again was getting hard to find. By 2009 I was barely getting 30 hours a week and just like Regina, couldn't keep up with the bills. I started thinking that maybe, I could create my own work instead of relying on other companies to keep me employed.........4 months later, I'm self employed. After 2 years of constant struggle and ruining my credit score, I finally made the right partnerships and was on my way. 14 years later, I'm still here and hoping to serve my community with honest hard work. Hope to hear from you soon.
